3 Bales Moved

After a good night's sleep and not waking up until close to 6:00 am I felt like a new person. We had another laughter filled walk today. As we were heading to Rachel's Joan was showing us the correct way to do knee bends but Diane was doing them with her arms outstretched and Joan with her arms bent. Just then Anni drove by and couldn't believe her eyes. All of us old ladies doing knee bends on our walk. Well all but mom, she is still worried about her balance and figures until she can pogo stick probably should not be doing knee bends.
After the walk I went right to work first taking the camera out to get pictures of the two new fillies for the website. Below is Foxy's filly by Valiant born Tuesday morning.
Foxy and her filly were turned out in the outdoor arena for the morning until I could get a paddock ready for them.
The next filly was Missy's and today was the first time she had been taken out of the stall. This filly is just 1 day old. They were put in the field behind Lily's paddock until I could get a paddock ready for them also.
She is VERY good at getting to that delicious milk.
Check out that pink tongue.
The stalls were cleaned then it was time to move 2 new round bales in the middle paddock. Those horses were turned out back and of course I had the camera ready when they were let out. Soul's colt is pictured below. He has that extreme trot action. He IS half Andalusian and half Friesian so of course his movement is expressive and impressive.
Anna's colt is pictured below. He is just so regal looking.
I missed getting pictures of Hadassah and her filly today, they took off too quick for the other side of the pond.  Since I am short a paddock Ayanna and her colt along with Galena and her colt were also turned out with the other 3 mares.  This gave the 5 mares plenty of time to be in the same herd in a big area with their foals before locking them back up in the middle paddock which has 2 shelters, 2 round bales and a big shade pavilion the middle.  Below is Ayanna's colt. He is 7/8ths Friesian 1/8th warmblood and going to be spectacular. This colt inherited Ayanna's amazing movement and Evan's amazing hair, not to mention his perfect conformation of long legs, short back and long elegant neck. Who ever ends up buying him will for sure not regret their choice. He is going to end up the fantasy Friesian stallion everyone hopes for.

Below Ayanna and her colt are galloping to the other side of the pond to join the other 3 mare and foal pairs already there.
Galena and her colt also took off for the other side once they saw Ayanna booking it over there.

A new round bale was placed in the breeding shed paddock and Missy and her filly along with Star and her colt were moved into that paddock. That was the best option, Star is an experienced mom and knows Missy well. These two are both taking care that the other doesn't get too close to their foals but not at all aggressive towards each other or the other foals.  Foxy needed to be put in a paddock by herself. She is a new mom and very protective and will threaten any other mare that even looks at her baby.  She was moved into the short shelter paddock with her filly. Tonight there are no mares in the stall barn. The stalls were in the process of being cleaned when Sarah and Zion arrived. I regret no pictures of Zion. She rode on the golf cart with me over to the cabin field to check on Sheena and Jewel the next two mares due. Neither are bagged up and ready to go so were left there.
The 5 mare and foal pairs were called in with grain then Hadassah taken over to Evan's breeding stand and covered. Anna is now out.  Jury was acting like she was still in but when Valiant tried to do his job she wouldn't stand. Emily is going to pick her up Tuesday afternoon. Brandee's mare Lilly is still in and will be covered tomorrow.
I met Braelyn's bus and we were just heading out to take the garbage over when Phil arrived. Braelyn was sad to go but will be back all day tomorrow to help along with Taegan and Kensley.
My last load is in the dryer and I'm almost done working for the day.
