Another nice morning. I needed to buy bleach so spent some time comparing Sam's bleach with Aldi bleach before our walk. On the walk I was telling Ruth about trying to figure out which was best when Diane told me to go to Dollar General and buy theirs, they had it for a dollar for 96 ounces. It is $6.12 for a 121 ounce bottle at Sam's and $6.06 at Aldi. Diane noticed the tree on the walk. It is split and pulling apart.
The split part is hanging over the drive so we walked quite fast under that part. Also on the walk we noticed the dumpster was not put in the right spot after it was emptied yesterday. I asked Mark if he would push it back with the skid steer or tractor and he didn't want to try. David Sauder drove up and took care of it with just his muscles.
He knew exactly what to do and walked it back first one side then the other. Why didn't we think of that? After the walk and after breakfast I drove the 4 miles to Dollar General and bought 17 items each just $1.00.
Once home the 3 bathrooms at the barn were cleaned as was ours here at the house. I was bringing some garbage to the dumpster and saw Joan working under the motorhome.
The linoleum on the floor had slipped back so we tried to pull it back in place then stapled it down. Once we finished up there it was time to tease mares. Sheena and her filly were brought over first. Sheena is out so we only got one cover on her and that was yesterday. None of the other mares seem to be in season. On the way taking Sheena and her filly back Crew was helping his grandpa Mike move logs.
They had a fire going to burn up the junk wood.
Bulu and her colt were fly sprayed then let out back in the pond pasture to graze. She didn't stay out long. Braelyn came to clean the apartment and we joked about it booking 3 days in a row. These guests had used a lot of bedding and towels so I took two loads down to the house to wash. I took her home after she finished and not long after the apartment booked again for tonight. Poor Braelyn! I sent her a text to ask if she wants to clean it again tomorrow and she said YES! Mark only wanted a salad for supper tonight.
After supper we met over at mom's for church tonight. We turned on AC Central and checked out Washington church as Peoria's message was not recorded tonight. We watched Kaleb Beyer have the message. Click HERE to see that.
We were using our phones to watch as Joan was having trouble getting the big screen to connect with her laptop. After church was over we had leftover treats from Sunday, brownie bites, cookies and donuts. On the way home from mom's we noticed the fire at Mike and Diane's was burning bright so took a detour to check it out.
There is just so much work still to be done. Mike has been saving the long straight logs for someone that asked for them so not all is being burned.
Mark and Mackenson got a lot of work done today around the farm. Tomorrow he wants to try out his new tool that came today. It is a tool to help him install ceiling panels. We shall see.
We just got word that Ripper has passed away. I received this message tonight.
Hi there, I am reaching out because my heart horse came from you. His registered name Sun Catcher Ripper HM. Number H009233. He was born on May 7, 2014. He recently passed after 12 days in the ICU and it was devastating. He was such an incredible boy and the patriarch of the barn. Everybody misses him dearly. It’s probably a long shot…I’m reaching out to see if you have any horses available that are related to him? Thank you so much, Elizabeth
