We had another hot day. Mark cleaned up the rest of the tree limb while us girls went on the walk.
Our fridge wasn't working right this morning, it was freezing up which meant everything in the freezer and fridge needed to be put in coolers and the fridge turned off. After that was done I left for Sam's club to get supplies for the barn and groceries for us. Some of that was taken over to the barn. I thought the fridge was probably fine by the time I got back so put everything back in the fridge and freezer and turned that back on. Next Valerie was teased and covered by Evan. The flies were bad and biting and I needed to mix up more fly spray and spray the horses down. It was getting so hot that Bulu and her colt were moved into a stall and the fans turned on.
The cat was watching everything I was doing in the stall.
That colt loves scratches.

I needed to be at mom's house by 1:30 as Joan was leaving for Middle Grove. There was a lot of family enjoying the coolness of the lake.
Mom and I had a quiet afternoon. The only problem was our fridge still wasn't working so everything was taken back out of the fridge and freezer and the hair dryer brought out, plugged in and put in the freezer and that hair dryer was left running. Mark came over for supper so I ran home, turned off the hair dryer and turned on the fridge. Then after supper Mark went home and checked the fridge and reported it was working. He put stuff back in. Joan arrived back after mom was in bed. I still needed to put Bulu and her colt outside. The colt was sound asleep in the hay and not in a hurry to get up when I got to the barn.
Joan reported that everyone at Middle Grove had a wonderful time. Mike sent the video below of the horses coming down to the lake for a drink and a cool down.
Today was busy but tomorrow will be a day of fun for us at Middle Grove.
