Fun Filled Afternoon

I wasn't as early this morning, early enough to grain and apply eye salve but not early enough to tease. I made it to the walk on time. When we reached the cabin lane we had to marvel at one of the big stumps Mike is trying to burn.

If it doesn't burn, he told us he would dig a hole and bury it. When we reached the retention pond going to Joan's house she pointed out 2 kingfisher birds. One was in the lake and the other at the retention pond. No pictures as they both flew before I could get the phone focusing on them. After the walk I drove to Sam's club again to pick up more groceries for our vacation on Saturday then took that straight to the barn. I filled the fridge with the produce and a table with other supplies.
All of this plus the freezer and fridge food need to fit in Mark's Prius or we will have to drive the truck. I'm not against driving the truck as there is about a 3 minute drive from our rental house to the State park Marina where the rental boat is and we can haul a lot of kids in that truck. I left at 10:40 am to drive to the Walmart in Morton to meet Taunya and the boys. The boys came with me to the lake while Taunya took her aunt to the doctor. Sarah and Kari were at the playground with their kids and 8 adorable Cavapoo puppies.

Jack, Jace and Abe changed into their swim suits in the barn then came out to the playground.
Of course the first stop was to play with puppies.

Sarah was taking the puppies to the vet clinic for their well puppy vet appointment. They are 6 weeks old and all are sold. While she was here I left her in charge, ran back over to the horses, teased Tessa and got her covered by Valiant. Mike thinks Bulu might be coming into season so we will try to tease her tomorrow.  The kids played a game on the volley ball court.
After I got back Sarah and the girls left to take the puppies to the vet the boys went down to the lake to cool off and swim.
When it was time for Kari to leave and take her boys we went up to the barn to grab a late lunch. Swimming really increases the appetite.
Next was fun in the bouncy house.
The boys decided pickle ball should be next. Below is a video of some of the activities today at the playground, lake and gym.

We had a fun filled afternoon.
Mark kept busy tearing down the ceiling of the garage and some of the walls. He is making good progress. We are expecting guests for the foaling apartment this afternoon but they had not made it yet by supper time. These guests are showing Poodles somewhere in the area. She is bringing 4 of them.
