I was dreaming I was late this morning but must have subconsciously heard the coffee maker go off because when I jumped out of bed it was just a couple minutes after 5:00 am. I was glad for the coffee while I worked on yesterday's pictures and videos. Today there wasn't any outdoor work to be done before church but I had to find a way to fix my Sunday skirt. Last week the skirt kept slipping down while I was in the kitchen at church. I figured either I have lost weight or the elastic is giving out. Pretty sure it is the elastic. Since I only have one Sunday skirt I should have ordered and replaced the elastic last week but I didn't. Instead today I tried putting some velcro on but that just didn't work. I didn't have any elastic but found a pair of Mark's old shoes with a black shoe lace in pretty good condition. I removed the shoe lace and figured out how to thread it through the waist band. It could be drawn tight and tied without showing at all and now my skirt is as good as new! We were exactly on time for church even beating Joan, Nancy and mom. Gregg Rumbold had the morning message on Isaiah 61, the beauty for ashes chapter. Click HERE to watch that. Craig Stickling had the afternoon message on Mark 10. Click HERE to watch that. After church we stopped at Aldi to pick up 3 pounds of bacon, 6 pounds of ground beef, hamburger buns, green beans, some medium cheddar cheese slices, avocados and 2 containers of ice cream for the supper tonight. I guess it is obvious what we had for supper tonight. Mark did the grilling and it was all great. After supper the volley ball players arrived to play outside but the families of the volleyball players all ended up in the lake.
