Our morning started out very foggy. The rain yesterday and the high humidity and warm air created a cloud here on earth.
The mares were grazing in the pasture.
A spider web was all decorated with water droplets.
Right after breakfast this morning Mark helped move 2 bales in. One for the Thoroughbred mares and one for the Middle paddock.
Then it was time to get the mop over and start scrubbing the game room floor. I'm still trying to remove drywall dust and also paint splatters. I was only able to get part of it done before I needed to take Rosaleigh to Hoerr Vet clinic for her eye exam. She loaded well but was a little worried when we arrived that she was the only horse.
The appointment was for 10:30 am and we didn't have to wait very long. Dr. C (the new vet) needed to bring a step stool in to check out Rosaleigh's eye.
Below she is applying dye to see how deep the scratch is on her eye.
Thankfully there was nothing in the eye and dye showed it wasn't too severe. She will need eye salve two times a day for the next 10 days but the eye should be fine. Once home I went back to work on the game room floor. Below is the finished cleaned floor. Anna arrived to put the volleyball net up in the gym as Braelyn's team is coming tomorrow morning. We also checked out the sand court as the Sunday volleyball players said there were too many wasps or ground hornets on the court. We saw what they complained about and sprayed down the court with 2 cans of wasp spray. I drove to Dollar General and picked up 4 more cans and used 2 more cans. I'll need to check it again tomorrow. We can't have people getting stung while trying to play. Mike and Berlica took Titus out today, ponying him on the trails.
He did perfect, walking through the creeks and keeping up fine. They ended in the outdoor arena. Berlica got off Jewel and climbed up on Titus. He is doing SO well that he will soon be ready to start on trails. The lighting in the video below was not good but I was so pleased with how well this went.
We left at 6:00 pm for church tonight. On the way to church the foaling apartment booked. I called Diane to ask if she would go over and turn on the lights and turn down the thermostat as we had that set high. Thankful for sisters that live close. Mike Kaisner had the message opening first to Esther chapter 1 and then Luke 9 Click HERE to watch that. The singing tonight was extra beautiful, we had a lot of visitors from Tremont. After church we went to Culvers for a late dinner. There was a lot of laughter from the table next to us.
There were more there but I took the picture late. I'm thankful for a good day and very thankful Titus is getting trained.
