I went up to treat Rosaleigh's eye a little after 6:00 am then went to the kitchen in the barn to sweep and clean the floor getting that done before 7:00 am. From 7:00 to 7:25 am I worked on our house getting the bathroom cleaned and the laundry started. We leave tomorrow and I can't leave a mess and of course have to do laundry so we have clothes to wear. Thankfully the house we are renting has a washer and dryer. We don't have a lot of room to pack clothes. Mark does not want to drive the truck which means food for 25 people for 7 days have to be crammed into his Prius along with the pickle ball equipment, the tubes for the pontoon boat rental, the paper supplies, cooking supplies and our clothes. I'm not sure how it will all fit but Mark is determined. Right after breakfast Mike and Crew loaded up the stock trailer for a trip to Middle Grove. We took out Rosaleigh, Holly, Curlin and Aiken. Below is Rosaleigh standing next to Holly waiting to be loaded.

Packing
I saw the herd of horses in the summer pasture as I was driving down Middle Grove road. They saw the truck and trailer coming then followed me all the way to the round pen. That is Thalia in the picture below checking out the trailer.
Mike and Crew were checking horses. The 2 with the stars on their forehead are Blueberry and her filly by Valiant. To the right is Dancer and her colt and behind is Rosalie and her filly.
Below Basalea (Leah) is pictured below. She was bred to Valiant and is due Sept 26th, 2025.
After letting the mares out of the trailer we needed to load Madiera and Jury. Jury is due next Aug 16th and Madiera is due Sept 16th. Blueberry's filly is so friendly and loves people. She will even leave the herd and her mama for attention from people.
She is also very tall for her age and will be black. She was born April 17th, 2025 making her 3 months old. She will make someone a gorgeous competition mare that can also produce extra income by breeding her to a Friesian when old enough. Dancer's colt was born black and will turn black once his faded foal coat sheds out. This colt was born May 5th. He is 7/8ths Friesian 1/8th Thoroughbred.
He will be VERY hairy. Check out the feather on his legs at only 2 months old.
This colt will look just like a purebred Friesian without the purebred price. He is for sale for $7500.00.
Below is a short video of the herd at Middle Grove.
Jury and Madiera were loaded and taken to the Horsemeister farm in Hanna City. Both are looking VERY pregnant.
Madiera is left and Jewel is right in the picture below.
Both mares were glad to be back with Jewel, Sally and Titus. Berlica and Lesley were here getting ready to tack of Missy and Cookie. Berlica helped me move Valiant and Evan back to their original paddocks then tacked up the horses and started the ride.
As Valiant can't graze now in this paddock we want him on very good hay so a square bale was pulled out and given to him. I just don't want him to lose any more weight while I'm gone.
Mike will square bale him while we are gone. Joan sent a message that mom wanted to go swimming again so that gave me a perfect excuse to stop working and relax in the lake for the next 2 hours.
This could become a habit. When I got back around 3:30 pm the dishes were finished and I started on the kitchen. Mark fixed one of the stallion lead ropes for me today. I was frustrated as I needed 2, one for each stallion when Berlica was helping and found the snap broken on one of them. I came up with the hardware and Mark used the bolt cutters to cut off the broken snap. Mark decided we should go out to eat this evening and I agreed quickly. We drove to the Bartonville Diner. We both ordered the liver and onions and had just been served our food when Rachel and David arrived and were seated right next to us.
They ordered the walleye but not the senior walleye. Neither of them are old enough to be considered seniors.
When we got home from dinner Diane and Mike pulled in with their fixed jeep. As long as they were here I had them help get Tessa covered by Valiant again. Mike was told where to get the hay for Valiant. I sent a message to the lady we are renting the house from, she sent the code to get inside and that was sent to all of the kids. Praying we all make it down there safe!
