Before our walk I wanted to put Bulu and her colt in with Sheena and her filly as those are the only foals here now and should be together. I was leading them to the cabin field and almost there when I remembered Mike brought Sally and Jewel home to start training those 3 year old fillies. I decided to go ahead and put them in the cabin field, watch them and then after the walk move Jewel and Sally over to the pond pasture. The 2 pictures below are of Bulu's colt. He is a month old now and looking fantastic. He was born a dark bay but will look black the older he gets.
He is half Friesian half Thoroughbred, will be tall, very athletic and perfect for someone wanting to compete at combined training or dressage.
Today when I called Bulu up from the pond pasture he took of running and jumped a brush pile happily then went galloping back to his mama. This colt is for sale $4500.00 and can be reserved with a $1000.00 deposit with balance due at weaning and pick up in October. He will be registered with FHHI as soon as he is named and if you buy him you can name him. Sally and Jewel were curious about him but Bulu was keeping him close.
Above is 24 year old Sally and below is Jewel born April 30th, 2008 making her 17 years old.
After the walk we brought them over to the pond pasture where they settled down to graze in the shade. Jewel is the bay, Sally is the black.
Next Holly was teased, she would not show at all. Her shot was given 4 days ago but she is still not in season. Curlin though was in season when we teased her so she was covered by Valiant. In the picture below Curlin is left and Holly is right.

Mark went over to work on removing the last of the rubber tiles that had been in the upstairs hallway. Those were taken over to the foaling barn and put in that hallway. I have a use for them in the aisle between the stalls but not today.

Today was inside work here but even so I couldn't make myself work very hard. At least the kitchen got clean, the dishes done and the dining room table cleaned off. Braelyn came today to clean the foaling apartment. Mark had a doctor appointment today and got home just as I was leaving for Middle Grove to pick up Rosaleigh. Mike saw that she had a weepy eye and took a picture. He showed me on Sunday so I needed to get her home today to treat it and make sure there is nothing in. Mike and Diane were going to Middle Grove to pick up their jeep this evening so I met them out there to get Aiken to bring back to breed and Rosaleigh for her eye. Below are a few pictures of the horses. They were lounging in the shade when we got to the top of the hill. Rosaleigh was there but Aiken was not. Diane and I walked Rosaleigh down the hill and put her in the trailer while Mike used the 4 wheeler to find Aiken.

He stopped at the top of the hill with her but when I looked I could tell this was not Aiken.
I climbed back up the hill to tell him this mare was Madiera and she is already pregnant due Sept 15th. About then I saw Aiken grazing next to Oliver. Mike put a halter on her. Below is Blueberry and her filly. The filly is black under that foal coat. She is going to be VERY tall. Blueberry sticks a bit over 16.3 hands and her sire is Valiant. She is also very friendly.
We would like to keep her as we can tell she will be easy to train but if someone really wants to purchase her we would consider selling her for $7000.00. She is half Friesian and half Thoroughbred and will be registered with FHHI. Below is Jury. She was bred to Evan and is due Aug 16th.
In the picture below is Dancer but the filly next to her is actually Rosalie's filly. Rosalie is standing right behind her. Dancer's colt is by Mike and can't be seen in the picture.
Lily was glad to see me and came up to see if I had a treat for her. She looks so good for a 23 year old mare.

I didn't have a treat but gave her some good scratches right where she likes to be scratched.
I had to stop for gas on the way home.
When I got home Mark brought the golf cart up to the barn so I had a quick way down to the house to get the eye salve for Rosaleigh. Her eye was treated and she was put in with Valerie and Tessa. Aiken was put in with the 2 Thoroughbred mares after she was teased. She did not show. I finally made it down to the house at 7:00 pm. Made Mark a salad for supper and we ate late.
