Another Work Day

Today was another work day at the barn and almost everyone was able to come help. Today the help was really needed. The hard job of hanging drywall on the ceilings and up the stair well needed a lot of hands. They stopped for a lunch break and Phil mentioned we had the exact number needed to get that job done. I am so thankful for my children. They really are going above and beyond. The grandkids had fun here while the adults were hard at work.

Braelyn's blue tongue.
Below they are making a fort in the closet.
Braelyn put a water balloon in the freezer then once it was almost frozen brought it out to show me her experiment.
Sangria arrived home just after 11:30 am. She was put in the field before introducing her to Blueberry.
Below Blueberry was looking longingly. She really does want a companion.
Berlica and Taegan went over to pet Sangria. They are so glad she is home, she is one of our best riding horses.
We finally put them together and below they are eating off the same bale.
Mike went to Middle Grove today and moved the horses into the summer pasture. We will give Sangria and Blueberry about a week then move them out too.
Lunch was served to 10 kids first. I needed to run to mom's and by the time I got back the kids had finished and the adults were on their way over from the barn.  Mark helped get the table cleaned while I finished up the food. After lunch the workers went back to keep working on drywall. The older kids went on a hike while the younger played in here until everyone was ready to leave.  Mark drove to Lowe's to pick up a box of rubber mats to see if it would work for either the upstairs or downstairs. We found some used the very same thickness. Anna said they would work upstairs so we made the decision to go with them and arranged to pick them up on Thursday. It is a 5 hour one way trip and I'm very glad Mark is willing to go with me.
Below are a few pictures of today's work.

They had to stop as they used every piece of drywall. We will need to order more to finish. The video below shows some of the kids activities today.
