Our FIRST day at the 2019 IL Horse Fair

We had an awesome day at the fair. Many many pictures were taken but the internet isn't very good here at the hotel so just a few pictures from today will be posted. The horses were a little UP but even with that all went well. I'll let the pictures tell the story.
Above is Shaeya warming up Valiant and below is Shaeya getting a very pregnant Galena to move.
Below are just a few of the many visitors at the stall today.
We had many visitors come love on the horses and enjoy the popcorn. That popcorn machine was kept running all day. It was hard to keep up with the demand. It must have been the FREE price and of course once they took a bag of popcorn it was only polite to go over and pet the horses right? The horses all loved the attention.
The child below was actually pretty scared of Sarah in her Wicked Witch of the West costume. We were really surprised to find out this adorable looking child was a BOY! No wonder he wasn't oohing and awing over Anni in her Glinda costume.
Shaeya did amazing with Valiant in the liberty part of the stallion class.

Rebekah had fun showing Valiant off in the riding part of the stallion class.

The munchkins had a ball throwing gifts out to the audience although I heard one little munchkin ran his present over to his parents and gave it to them. It's all in who you know!
After lots of congratulations and many people telling us how much they enjoyed the play we went to work feeding and watering the horses for the night. Only after the horses were cared for did we let them all leave for the hotel. We made it back to the hotel in time for a good dinner. The munchkins could hardly wait to get into the pool and hot tub. Karin is already sleeping and I'm about to hit the sack. There are over 2000 pictures to go through but that will have to wait until we get home.  It is hard to shut the brain down and just think tomorrow we get to do it all over again. If you are in the area or even miles away there is still time to come down to the fair. Who knows you may even win a prize!
