Amazing Weather

We had a wonderful warm up today, reaching 66 according to the thermometer on Mark's thermostat. It started out cool for our walk but by the time we finished the sun was feeling warm on our backs. Ruth and Fedi left for Rittman, OH, Phil and Anna left for Winthrop MN, Ben and Taunya left for Dallas, TX but we still had plenty of family here.  Karin came early to help load Oksana and Darla for their trip to Middle Grove. Darla was great, she walked right into the trailer. When we arrived we let them out before we started climbing the hill. Oksana stood, listening for the herd then took off at a gallop over the hill.

The herd was spread out grazing, Karin started looking for halters while I walked over to the horses to take some pictures.

It didn't take long for them to discover the truck and trailer. They came from all directions and soon had the truck and trailer surrounded.
If you would like to see the rest of the Middle Grove pictures click HERE. We loaded up Jenis, Zalena and Rosalie for the trip home. We needed these three mares for the scheduled trail ride at noon today. Below are a few pictures from that ride.

As they were coming back from the ride Sarah came walking up with baby Zion. Of course she needed her very first pony ride. Nolan gave her a ride on Indy.

She sure seemed to enjoy the ride so just maybe we are raising the next generation of Horsemeister riders.  To see the rest of the trail ride pictures click HERE.  After the horses were put away Sarah and Nolan brought out Arrieta's puppies. They were playing so cute.

The puppies are all sold but we took quite a few pictures for their owners. If you would like to see those pictures click HERE. We also took a short video but I didn't have the video camera just used  the canon, so the video wasn't very clear or high definition.

This afternoon Mark helped move 2 bales in.  Valiant's paddock needed a new bale so he was locked in the field. He galloped, bucked, reared and galloped some more. I should have had the video camera there. We have had him locked off the field and will have to lock him off again but today we let him play.  The other paddock that needed a bale was the middle paddock.
Since today is the day after Thanksgiving the tradition is to make a big pot of turkey soup so that is what I did this evening. Mark and I had a bowl for supper and it was delicious. Thankful for this beautiful sunny warm day.
