An absolutely BEAUTIFUL day brought out the crowds. We had a record breaking day as far as donations for the pony rides and cotton candy. Karin got so tired of leading kids she started teaching them to ride without a leader, wow were the parents impressed. Of course it helped that she was using the best pony ride horses in the world.
Below are the pictures. Just too tired to write more.
We got so busy we made our 79 year old mother start helping. (really she just wanted to)
Diane found this gorilla at a garage sale for ONLY 25cents. She gave it to a very happy Nancy.
These 4 boys were hanging around watching but didn't have any money. We had a short break and Karin asked them if they would like to groom the horses. They asked, "how much would it cost?" Karin explained they could groom for FREE. They were so thrilled, then told some girls that walked by, "guess what we get to do this for FREE!"
The boys below were the same ones that got to groom the horses for FREE! After cleaning up the droppings, Karin let them have free rides.
Below is the cotton candy maker. Poor guy the wind was blowing cotton candy all over the Old School Center and by the time he was finished, he was COVERED in cotton candy.
We cleaned up and were out of there by 5:15pm and will do it all over again tomorrow.
Steven left the drive just a few minutes before me and had Super out ready to work by the time I arrived. Jewel was covered then taken to the cabin field with Bunni and Paris while Super was suppose to stay tied up in the barn. Somehow he untied 3 lead ropes and ran back to the girls paddock. He didn't break anything just untied the ropes. He is almost too smart. He was amazingly better today. He remembered EVERYTHING Steven taught him yesterday and did it all with no fuss. OK, Perhaps he WILL make someone a nice horse much sooner than we expected.
