Long Drive

We pulled away shortly after noon for our marathon trip to Connecticut and back. Thirty nine straight hours of driving if all goes WELL. Mike is taking the first shift, Diane will take the second and I'll take the third. Right now we are pulling onto the tollway near the Indiana state line.
Before leaving this morning, Willow and Shaeya came over to help with the morning chores. They got to spend the night in the cabin as a slumber party for Willow's birthday. The girls helped grain Raven, groomed the foals, held a horse while his eye was cleaned out and medicated then took a ride on Ribbon. It is wonderful to have such good working 8 year olds.

Tate, Willow's brother got to have Josiah spend the night as a slumber party for his 6th birthday. Mike and Diane gave their grandkids this special gift. Tate and Josiah were taken on 4wheelers after their night of slumber.
Karin came straight to the barn from the river shack in Browning and joined me for a late breakfast at the Hog Trough in Hanna City.
We started to walk in the door and caught a glimps of something very scary.
Somehow they have a ghost that shows up to answer the door, I had to snap a picture, How do they do that?
She came to work Eliza but Eliza was not well behaved. She was nervous with the extreme winds blowing.
It is 4:20pm we just had our first diesel stop. We ended up at the BIG truck place and put in $100.00 of fuel and instead of buying pizza by the slice we bought an entire pie for $9.99 and split it. It wasn't even bad although they wouldn't give us the pizza already made, insisted on making a new one for us which put us behind about 15 minutes. Diane is now driving, Mike is in back, and I'm riding shotgun.
