Bloody Finger

We had a new family come today to volunteer for the prison ministry. Diane was in charge today of new recruits and the first job we needed done was to bring up 20 boxes of large print Bibles. The boys Ezra and JJ were more than willing to go with Diane down to the warehouse, load the boxes into her van then unload the boxes into the shop.
Amanda, their mother helped label the lessons while their little sister worked on stamping the envelopes.
Ava their baby sister really didn't do much to help in fact she was so happy she was causing problems with the other volunteers.
Eva Jean loves babies and for some reason it was hard to keep our oldest volunteer from playing with the youngest.
For the record Eva Jean was down at the shop before all the rest, she deserved a little time to play with the baby. Once the Bibles were all stacked up Diane gave the boys letter openers to start opening today's mail. Well that may have been a mistake. JJ somehow cut his finger with the opener, it was a tiny cut but blood came out. JJ saw the blood and got faint.
That wasn't the worst, he soon felt sick to his stomach and took off running for the bathroom. After vomiting he came out and told Diane he was really sick, vomiting up blood. Diane replied, "that just doesn't make sense, you wouldn't vomit up blood from a cut on a finger." Then and only then did JJ remember and replied, "Oh I forgot I ate Jello." All ended well. A bandaid fixed the finger and took away the sight of blood. JJ went back to work but this time Diane took the letter opener away and had him stuff Bibles.
We took a break for lunch then went right back to work. Diane took the family along to mail out most of the Bibles then took them home. I finally left the office at 3:45 pm with the last of the Bibles to be mailed out for the day. Tomorrow the studies will be dropped off at church and there are a LOT of studies. Instead of going home I drove to Bloomington to pick up Emily. She will be here until Thursday afternoon. She is pretty bruised up from the fall and with her right arm in a brace and sling won't be able to help with stacking bales. It takes 2 arms to run the skid steer. Mark moved all 61 bales off the field and near the barn, tomorrow I'll run the skid steer and stack them inside.
We have been  hearing a strange scream coming from the woods, then on our drive tonight. Since we have a fox family living on the premises I was pretty sure that's what was making the noise. After doing a good search on a fox scream the video below is exactly what we have been hearing.

case solved.
