This morning it is 4 below zero at 8:30 and seems to be getting colder. Emma had a hard time wanting to go outside. She needed to be strongly encouraged down the stairs. Once that was taken care of and the dogs were quiet a car pulled up and the excitement started. The girls were HOME and the dogs were SO glad to see them. Of course both Sarah and Rhoda had to comment on how big Emma had grown over the last 7 days.
They had a great trip, lots of new fallen snow on the mountain.
Last night Ben, Taunya and Addyson & Phil and Anna came over and wanted to go to dinner with us but we had to go to Alexander Street Steak House for the Pleasant Hill School Christmas party. Mark is the president of the board so we couldn't get out of it. I hated having to leave the grand baby. She is now crawling backwards. Still hasn't figured out how to go forward.
While we are at dinner, Mike, Diane, Ebby and 2 of their grandkids came over to play with our 2 dogs. I called once we were on our way back to see how it went and Diane told me, not too well. Her grandchildren were terrified of the 2 big dogs, Emma was too tired to play with Ebby and Darcy was kind of grumpy.
The man that lost the chance to by Royal called back, he told me that his wife was still crying over not getting him. He is now going to look at Aragon. That is a better fit as far as their financing. Aragon will be ready to be weaned in February and they will be ready by then. They REALLY wanted Royal and were pretty upset about losing him. I need to get a video and updated pictures of him for them. Aragon actually moves nicer than Royal, will be as tall, and is also black, but he is a Trakehner x Friesian not Andalusian X Friesian. It's all in the name of the breed.
