Emma's Surprise Gift

We were left an awful surprise when we got home from church. Emma had messed in the kitchen, near a sleeping bag one of the girls left by accident, somehow the sleeping bag had rolled in the mess and was spread all over the kitchen floor. The smell was awful and the clean up took quite long, it was ground into the tiles. How can one small puppy make such a huge mess. Once it was cleaned up, there was only a few minutes to change before the couple came that wanted to go see Anni. Karin got to the farm before me and had her tacked up and was riding her in the snow when they came so they could see how she behaves. We brought her into the arena, took off the English saddle, Karin drove over to the cabin and picked up a Western saddle, tacked Anni back up and let them ride her. She was well behaved but really needs finishing. We have only ridden her on trails, no arena work and they want a lesson horse so she may not work out for them. We still were out in the cold way too long. After they departed we moved Clara into the big stall in the barn. We just can't take a chance of her delivering in this awful cold. Mike moved in two round bales in the middle paddock and checked all the waterers, all is well.
I drove over to mom's and had some delicious soup to help warm up then home to get ready for hymnsing. We will meet mom there, then take Nancy home after.
