Water Day

A beautiful day was in store for us even though the weather report was rain all day and we awoke to a thunderstorm. Around 10:00 am the sun came out and everyone migrated to the beach to play in the waves. The Gulf water is warm and inviting and the waves were fun.Below is Israel and Berlica playing in the waves.
Taunya and Abe were picked up from the Pensacola airport and joined right in fun with Abe filling his diaper with sand while playing with Zion. The girls took all of the kids on a long walk then came back for lunch and pool time.

After lunch the grandchildren, all but Israel went in for a nap while the adults lazed around and in the water. The pool water is the perfect temperature to cool off from the hot sun yet not too cold. Everyone enjoyed that. Plus we are the ONLY people using this nice big pool so far.
For dinner we ordered at Bahama Bobs, those amazing Bahama Bob burgers for us adults and chicken tenders with fries for the kids. The evening was spent playing with all 5 of the grandchildren.
Taunya is holding Iris in the picture below.

Later Israel and I walked over to mom's condo to borrow a high chair and of course had to stay and visit.  Joan brought her metal detector so Berlica and Israel had fun scouring the sand for treasures. They found some cool things like re-bar, bolts, nuts and wire. Mom sent a pumpkin creamcheese cake home for our breakfast.  When we walked home Rhoda was busy baking cookies while Sarah cleaned up the apartment. Stephanie and Taunya were giving bathes to kid after kid.  They are all heading to bed and we adults will the enjoy cookies and milk.
We sure had a fun day spending hours of it in the water and sun. We almost all got burned on this day that was suppose to be rainy all day. The sunshine is amazing down here in the south.
