A Wonderful Recommendation

Time to catch up on other happenings now that my time isn't being consumed by Roxanne's colt.  A wonderful recommendation was posted on Facebook, so nice that it must be posted here and if course it included a picture! Lisa bought Star's filly by Valiant 2 years ago, the filly is now two years old and this is what Lisa writes:  Elsa just turned 2 in April. She was born with the same silvery/mousey color as Star's current filly. She does have and usually keeps the deep, rich black color they mentioned. They are currently out in pasture quite a bit but even then she doesn't fade much. The personality combo of this stallion and the mare is exceptional. Incredibly friendly, personable, intelligent, and people-oriented. I've met both parents in person. The sire (Valiant) is a wonderful, well-built, intelligent, and very friendly stallion with amazing "old" Friesian lines. The dam (Star) was very sweet, quiet, and very personable as well. I would recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a Friesian or cross.
Star's current filly was born with the same color as Lisa's filly named Elsa.  For comparison check out these pictures of Elsa as a newborn until weaning.

I am thrilled with this update!  Lisa has done a wonderful job with Elsa and this just happens to lead to the next paragraph.
I'm OLD and I'm TIRED and have realized we must cut back. When all goes well the work around here is easily managed but when something strange happens like a foal somehow that is walking around nursing well but just has a touch of diarrhea becomes paralyzed and needs round the clock care I can only handle 48 hours. We have had some pretty awful things happen this foaling season. Needing to do an emergency c-section on Anna and losing both Anna and her filly, then losing Marika's colt and finally giving up on Roxanne's colt makes this job very difficult both physically and mentally.  Roxanne's colt has a good prognosis now that he is under Emily's care but that doesn't erase all the vet bills for this one.  We must sell something so if you have ever considered a Friesian or a Friesian cross in your future this is the time to check out our website. Star WITH her 2019 filly AND Star bred back is for sale for only $5000.00.  Star is a grade Tennessee Walker born in 2004, she rides, is a great mom and has thrown some beautiful babies.  Below are a few pictures of Star through the years. She really is a beautiful mare.

We also have some other mares for sale, just check out the for sale page on our website www.horsemeister.com
