A BIG Hole

On Saturday Mike and Diane had their family out to Middle Grove. Ebby was so excited to see the kids but instead of joining them in the lake like she usually would she walked up the hill. They started looking for her and calling her that evening and when she didn't come they decided to spend the night in hopes she would come back during the night.   When she didn't make it back Sunday morning Diane and Mike knew she was either dead or stuck somewhere. They spent all day Sunday looking for her.  Ebby has loved and stayed at Middle Grove for the last 8 years. She knew that land very very well and always would come back to the cabin at night. Ebby was always considered 'the perfect dog' and everyone out here will miss her. She was quite a hunter. Mike went out searching again yesterday afternoon and found her body Monday evening.
She loved hunting and catching critters
She leaves a big hole in our neighborhood. Ebby was independent and if Mike and Diane were not home felt free to visit all the other houses around here. She loved kids most of all. If we had a grand child over visiting Ebby would not leave until someone would come to pick her up. She kept Molly company during the day if mom was out quilting or traveling. We will all miss Ebby but she died doing what she loved best, hunting.
