The snow makes everything quiet, no big parties, no volleyball games taking place at the playground and almost no company. Our neighbor from the east, Mr. Schmider, came over on his fantastic four-wheeler bearing a very special gift.
He claimed his chickens are laying more than he needs right now and asked if we could use some fresh eggs. Just look at this!
He has only 6 hens left, butchered most of them before winter hit but the ones he kept are doing very well. Mr. Schmider also cleared a path up to the apartment with his sweet machine. That made it easy to walk outside for me and the dogs.
Once daylight hits this morning we need to start moving in round bales. The middle paddock needs 2, the breeding shed 1 and we may as well put one in the 4th paddock for what ever horses Mike brings home.
