Stress Test

Diane and I walked this morning then ended at her place to work on the Horsemeister books for a few minutes. I needed to leave by 9:00 am for the stress ordered by Dr. Mungee. Mark came with me for this test and drove to St. Francis while I answered some business texts. We arrived by the 9:30 required time, I was called in the iv put in and had the nuclear medicine given then taken to a waiting room. I sat down and 2 minutes late was called to go get the scan done. I was shocked as it was supposed to be in a half an hour to give the medicine time to work. Once I was on the scanner and they were just ready to start, the man that put in the iv came in quickly to say, "this is the wrong Judy!" There were two of us in the waiting room. I was taken out and back while the other Judy taken in and then I waited over an hour before I was called again. The picture was taken and I was taken to another room where I waited another long time before they called me in to hook me up with lots of stickers Those things hanging on the wall were what was going to hook up to each sticker on my body.

The stress test wasn't awful. The treadmill was started slowly but soon speeded up then started rising. More of that nuclear medicine was administered through the IV.  The goal was to get my heart rate up. I think the entire time running on that was about 5 minutes. I was then asked to sit while the ekg was run. Then back to the other waiting room where I was given a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin. Nothing tasted very good though with all that nuclear stuff running around in my veins. I had to wait another hour before the last 2 pictures were taken. We left this morning at 9:00 am and didn't get home until after 2:00 pm. Seemed like a waste of a nice day. Mark wanted to get that last camper winterized but I wanted his help hooking the stock trailer up to the truck so he helped with that, then got the camper ready while I loaded Jewel and Sally in the front. It took us about 10 minutes to finish winterizing the camper. As soon as that was done I had Mark help load the two gypsy mares. Izzy was led into the trailer then I asked Mark to hold Harley while Izzy was tied and I got out. Harley was just pointed to the trailer and she hopped right in.  Mark came with me to Middle Grove. Below he is shutting the gate after I have driven in.
The trailer was driven back to the big field. We could see the horses in the distance so quickly unloaded Izzy and Harley.

Oliver came running over to meet them.

Next Jewel and Sally were let out of the trailer. We watched for a bit then drove home. Missy was calling for the mares, upset that she was left.
She was taken into the weanling paddock so she wouldn't be alone and those foals can learn from her. I needed to stay and watch to make sure she would be kind to them. She ignored them and went right for the hay.
They were really curious but respectful watching from a distance.
Disco was the brave one moving in first.
Below they are getting closer.
They saw me watching and each looked over.
The camera was put on video to catch what they were going to do. Nothing happened, Dahlia came down to see what I was doing but Missy kept eating hay ignoring the foals.

The electric fence was removed from the back gate and that opened to the pond pasture. Dahlia watched as that was done.
I walked up to the other gate to get out so Missy came out of the shelter.
The foals walked out of the back gate but didn't go more than a couple steps. They really needed Missy to walk out with them but she was still up at the other gate.

I couldn't stay around watching but felt it was safe to leave Missy with them. We only had a few minutes to get ready for Family night at the fellowship hall. Now that it gets dark so soon the moon was shining brightly. It was so big and bright we hardly needed headlights.
That last sentence wasn't true, the older we get the more light we need.
David, Lanae and Tina served us a wonderful Mexican dinner of Tamales and churros along with fried beans, 3 kinds of salsa, fresh fruit, cookies and bars. There was a wonderful turnout. There were four rows set up and I didn't see any empty places.
David Huette had the message on Chiseled by the Master's hand. Click HERE to watch that.
