I'm so grateful for the invention of an electric blanket. Not sure how long it would take my feet to warm up without one and without warm feet there is no sleep for me. We were both up early. Joan sent a text this morning about 6:30 am that mom had a hard night with some chest pain, nausea and breathing issues. In the text toward the end she wrote: She still says that it hurts when she breaths deep (talking about her chest pain). She isn't nice anymore at all, but she is just simply not comfortable. This was sent to the family text and we were all wondering what could mom be doing that isn't nice AT ALL! About then Joan wrote: " Just reread my text and it is supposed to say she isn't nauseous anymore, not she isn't nice anymore!" WHEW, thank goodness our kind sweet gentle mother is still nice. Joan has kept us updated today and each was encouraging. Tonight's update was a picture of mom enjoying ice cream with the words, Seems like things are back to normal. She had a decent supper tonight and now is having some ice cream for dessert. We have so much to be thankful for! I wanted to get an early start on having the foaling apartment ready for guests coming in and the barn gym swept and made ready for the big birthday bash this afternoon. The apartment was cleaned by Braelyn a couple days ago but I always go in and check. It was nice except I found 1 stink bug on the floor, 3 dead flies and one live fly that was dispatched with the fly swatter. I left then for Sam's club to get the food for tomorrow's meal when Rhoda sent a family message that Ken Ham is going to be speaking in Peoria tomorrow and they were going to eat at Good Tequilas at 4:45 pm then go listen to Ken. David chimed in right after that they would join them, then Sarah also said she would too. I knew Mark would want to so turned around and came home instead of buying groceries. We will ALL go out to eat Sunday then over to Grace Pres for Ken's talk. Ken Ham is an Australian Christian fundamentalist, young Earth creationist, apologist ad former science teacher living in the United States. He is the founder, CEO and former president of Answers in Genesis, A Christian apologetics organization that operates the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. When I got back to the house Mark was working on the front of the garage and needed some help.

Introducing Axton Carl Sauder
After helping with that I took the golf cart over to the barn and got the gym swept and a little big of mopping done. Then it was time to bake. 2 pumpkin dump cakes were baking in the oven when Diane came over for some celery and chicken bullion she needed for her chicken soup. We had a nice visit until she realized she had the soup on the stove. The cakes were finished about 2:00 pm. We needed one for potluck at Gary and Marie's house tonight and the other will be frozen for Tuesday's Berean volunteers. Rachel posted this: Praising the Lord for the safe arrival of grandchild #7! Axton Carl Sauder born to Logan & Carli and big bro Quinton. Born Thursday Oct 23rd, 2025 at 12:57 pm 8 lbs. 3 oz, 21 inches
Mom needs to get home to meet her newest great grandson in the flesh. Mark and I left for potluck at 5:15 pm. We had a wonderful evening with a wonderful group of people.
