Relaxing

I went to mom's this morning to talk to both Joan and Ruth about tomorrow. Before going into the house I stopped to admire the geese. The lake was full of geese. It looked like there were 3 different families as each bunch was keeping away from the others.

The burning bushes are still bright red.
Dan called and explained that the part for the wheelchair van was going to be around $2000.00 and he was not sure if that was just for the part or for the part and labor. It is not going to be done by tomorrow so if mom is going to go to the Co-op play we need plan B. Ruth decided to borrow Ryan's car and bring it to mom's after she was done babysitting for Anni this evening. She didn't need to leave until 8:30 for that job so I went home and cooked breakfast for Mark before going over to stay for the day.  Joan was busy baking goodies for church lunch on Sunday while teaching and smelling up the house with that tantalizing chocolate odor. She and the kids needed to leave around noon for the dress rehearsal. The 7 pans or desserts were done baking but once cool the cookie bars needed to be covered and the chocolate topping made and spread over the 3 bars of scotcheroos. Once the chocolate hardened enough those too were covered with plastic wrap.
Mom and I had a very quiet day. Aunt Jinnie called and they had a nice visit. She told me where to find the book on the history of Lake Gerard and we read that together. When Ruth got back with Ryan's car we had to try putting mom in to make sure it would work for tomorrow. It isn't the best but it can be done. We will wait and decide tomorrow about going. If mom feels up to it and wants to go we will make it work. Mark didn't want supper tonight so I just ate leftovers. Not a very exciting day but it was a relaxing day.
