Practice Makes Perfect

We had a very cold start to the day and even though it was promised to warm up, the warm up never arrived. Thank goodness we had a heater to crowd around. It was so miserably cold the crowds stayed away today. This made the decision not to start up the popcorn and cotton candy machine easy. The other good thing was we considered today our very first practice where every rider participated. We have a few things to fix tomorrow. The Friesians were the first on. The horses were good but we need more dramitics and they came up with some great ideas to fix that. Emily had Killian in the Liberty Class next. We were all surprised when he won the class. Next up was Valiant and Emily in stallion row and guess what they won again. This time we were given a new halter as a prize. The vaulting was about the last performance of the day. We were waiting for the other groups to exit the coliseum and for them to arrive in the coliseum and kept getting colder and colder. By the time the performance was finished we were in a desperate hurry to get the horses fed, watered, the aisle cleaned up, the tack room straightened out so we could get some food in our hungry bellies and then relax in the hot tub for the evening. So thankful for this hotel that fed us well and provided a very hot hot tub to warm our frozen bodies. Tomorrow should be better. We are with a huge group of Honeggers who are here celebrating the Honegger birthdays. Lots of funny things happened, hope I can remember them tomorrow. Our only injury was Sarah's arm. She hurt it playing in the pool last night.
I'm not saying who the person below is...you will just have to guess.
Rebekah had the youngest person here, Jordan was so good we didn't hear a peep out of him.

Mikayla did all the make up. Below is Rebekah and Mikayla as a fairy.

Below Bethany is spraying Eliza's mane red to match her outfit
Emily the queen was getting her makeup put on.
 Tyler made a wonderful king
Below the fairy's are discussing with Jessica and Emily their strategy.

Ribbon and Sarah made a wonderful Maleficent.
Below is Killian in the Liberty class
Did I mention they won the class today?
Below is Emily warming up Valiant for the stallion row.
Did I mention they won that too?
 The vaulting went well
