Muddy Trail Rides

Rhoda, Emily and I went to Sam's Club this morning to order the pies for the wedding and pick up 20 pineapples and 120 pounds of sweet potatoes. It wasn't easy pushing that cart around the store.
Karin had a trail rides scheduled for this morning needing at least 7 horses. That meant she would have to use Whitney and Ayanna but luckily these people were well balanced, capable riders. To my knowledge this is the first time we have ever put non family members on either of these mares, but Karin felt pretty comfortable using them. She had been working with both and reported the day before that she had the best ride ever on Ayanna. Below are a few pictures of the riders.

Taegan got to ride on the first ride out but after the second trail ride hopped aboard Ribbon to ride back to the barn.
Below are the 2 happy riders of Whitney and Ayanna. Notice those big smiles?
At the end of the ride Braelyn was asking Anna to let go, she wanted to 'drive' all by herself.

Horses used were Anna, Ayanna, Eliza, Jenis, Ribbon, Whitney, and Zalena. Even Anna's colt got to go on this ride. Karin reported he followed well. I think it is amazing we have 7 horses here that work for rides and these aren't really the starting line-up. Those are at Middle Grove. The trail horses there are Bunni, Sally, Mika, Missy, Cookie, Jewel, Ella, Lola, Sangria, and Jewel. Temporarily out of the line-up is Indy and Star. Both of them are great for beginners but both have newborn fillies by their side.
This afternoon I finally got around to cleaning up and putting away the cotton candy machine and popcorn machine. We are going to use them again for Sarah's wedding in July. Rhoda took my car to Bloomington to drop off a whole car-load of wedding supplies. She felt they would be safer at Lee's house than here and I concur. The house looks a whole lot different with the table cleaned off, now we can even eat there again.
