Happy Customer

We got over 2 inches of rain this morning. Now we have mud and more mud. The frost isn't out of the ground yet and that stops the water from soaking in.
The family down in Gulf Shores sure picked a good week to go. They have had sunshine every day. Karin called to report there are not enough hours in the day for play. Those who want to go fishing early (the sheephead are biting great right now) then comes the play schedule for the day with volley ball, foot ball, hot tubbing, swimming, eating, resting in the sun and sand, eating, and I'm sure games. The only thing they don't have down there are horses. Karin actually called to say she, Rhoda and Emily were sitting around Rachel's condo missing the horses.
Speaking of horses even though Holly is due before Zalena, Zalena's udder looks bigger. Both mares were stalled again tonight. I won't take a chance of them delivering outside during this kind of weather.
The morning was spent at Meisters reading letters and paying bills. While there Kim the owner of the Valiant filly born yesterday called to say she really loves, loves, loves, loves, loves how sweet and friendly this filly is and how happy happy happy happy she is about breeding Novella to Valiant. She sent pictures to a very respected Friesian breeding farm in California of the filly and they also agreed, she is PERFECT!
Above she is taking a nap. I am so thrilled Valiant throws Raven's wonderful disposition on his offspring. That doesn't always happen. We thought all Friesian stallions threw that sweet pleasing disposition until our very first Evan foal. Now I'm not saying Evan's babies are bad, they are sweet but nothing like Raven's were where they leave mom for attention from any human around.
After lunch I needed to go to Aldi for groceries. Too bad the Aldi on Western closed that was close to the shop and convenient now I usually only go if I'm going to Sams Club then hit the Allen road Aldi on the way home.
The weather report for tonight is calling for strong storms with large hail.
