Tuesday Afternoon
This afternoon Jenis was squealing when Valiant tried to nurse but not kicking him away so they are now back in the paddock. Mike moved in a new round bale into the middle paddock this afternoon and 2 this morning, then we gave the Friesian mares a new bale as their alfalfa bale was almost gone. When I left the farm, he was sitting on Sophie and also had Jewell out. We think Sophie is going to be easy to train, she is very accepting of weight on her back and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body. Mike left for MiddleGrove with Ribbon and is bringing back Anni for trail rides this coming weekend. We want to get Anni use to the herd here. We had 21 more grass bales delivered. We still have 50 more alfalfa bales to come plus the rest of the 50 grass AND I still have a 3rd cutting on our field. I think we have plenty of hay to get through the winter. Today at lunch we had Dan, Spark, Eva Jean, David, Stephanie and me. After lunch I drove to the law office for the closing on mom's last condo at Morningside. Mom now only owns the Gulf Shores condo and the Bridlewood Apartments. It is a real blessing that she was able to sell of off her remaining Kellogg park condos along with her 5 morningside condos. Spark and Rhonda brought Tara and her 2 little girls home for at least a week. Tara's husband stayed in Pennsylvania looking for work. Tara's baby is just a few days old. Pacheron's buyers came today and paid him off. They are now looking for a place to board him. I showed them Ruth's place but if they don't make up their mind within a couple of days they will lose that option. A couple showed up that raise and show Arabian horses and want to rent out all 4 of her pens.
