Nancy's HOME

I was up again at 4:00 am and made it to the hospital at 6:00 am. Joan and Nancy were already up and getting ready for the day.  Joan gave the update then left to get her kids ready for co-op. Nancy had nothing to eat or drink since midnight so we were really glad when they came up to get her ready for the stress test.

She got all kinds of new stickers placed and those were hooked up to the wires going to her new necklace. At least that was what I called it as at first she was not going to let them put it on her. Then we went on a LONG ride in the wheel chair to where the testing equipment was.  On the way down the hall we saw the helicopter. That had landed a few minutes ago.
She was taken to a corner and given the dye and then we had to wait for 15 minutes. The first part of this test was to put her in a scanner and take beginning pictures then to a new room where the she was given chemicals to induce stress. She tolerated it very well and didn't even get out of breath. She was very pleased with herself. They gave her a carton of chocolate milk after as caffeine breaks down the chemical faster.  Then it was back to the first room for another scan. By the time she was back up in her room it was almost 9:30 am and too late to order breakfast but they brought her some jello and apple juice. About then she was more than ready for a nap.
She wanted everyone to know how good she did and each time a nurse or doctor came in she exclaimed, "I did GOOD!" After the nap we went on a long walk down the halls. There was a nurse sitting at a computer in the hallway and for some reason Nancy reached over and tickled her back. That shocked the nurse, she jumped and so did I. I apologized saying I just never know what she is going to do.  Thankfully the nurse just laughed. We got back to the room, her nurse came in said the results were back and Nancy could go home today. Nancy heard that and tried to jump out of bed right then. Of course it takes a while for all the paper work done for her to leave Nancy was really excited. Her lunch arrived about 12:30 pm.
Just as she sat down to eat mom and Ruth came into the room. Ruth had taken mom to the funeral for Katy Hoerr and when it was over came to the hospital to visit Nancy. Nancy was glad to see them but the food right then was more interesting as she had only had that one carton of chocolate milk, jello and apple juice since last night. Ruth and I switched cars. She gave me the van keys and I took mom home then once Nancy was finally released she used my car to take Nancy home to her house in Morton. We are all SO thankful and all of us are going to sleep well tonight.  After dropping mom off I had to get the motorhome hooked up behind the barn then make the 3 beds for the guests coming in today. We are hosting a wedding at the barn tomorrow and the bride has rented the foaling apartment, the motorhome, Diane's cowboy cabin and her Waterview Walkout for the out of town guests. They all arrived this afternoon. Diane and Mike met the 2 couples staying at her places at the same time I met the people staying at our places. They even set up another room outside the barn.
That is funny as I think the barn is plenty big.
It may be a smoking tent as we don't allow smoking in any of the airbnbs.
I didn't ask and took the picture from the house as I didn't want to seem too nosy. It is cold tonight and going to be in the 30s by morning. Cold enough that Mark started a fire in the living room wood burner tonight. This evening Mark and I watched and listened to Jeff Waibel give the Sunday message in Leo. After he was done Mark remarked, "that needs to be listened to again!"  IF you would like to watch this click HERE. Tomorrow I'm with mom in the morning then will be going out to Middle Grove with the stock trailer to bring back 4 horses.
The first 4 will be Rosalie, Rosaleigh, Missy and Irish. If I make a second load it will be Blueberry, Aiken, Bulu and Holly. We need to get these mares bred. Well not Missy we just want another riding horse here and she fits the bill.
