A Change for the Worst

Mark was up most of the night last night. They started him on new medicine for his diabetes and it has some pretty bad side effects. He did not go into work today. Sarah's dog, Berlica's cat, Diane, Joan and I walked two rounds. We couldn't believe that cat followed us the entire way. She really doesn't like the snow but was determined to keep up with us.

At one point she stopped and we really thought she would head back but when she saw we didn't quit she ran ahead again.
Sarah sent back some fun pictures of sledding. They have a great place to sled and were joined by Stephanie, Israel and Elisabet.

Joan was with mom today. The video below was actually taken yesterday as we were getting ready for games.
After the walk I started on laundry and got a couple loads done before heading to Diane's office. We had a bank rec to do and the year end books to get done before Russ our tax man comes. I arrived a couple minutes after 11:00 am and we finished at 12:30 pm. I  had 2 things to take to the post office but they are closed from 12:30 to 1:30 so instead went home, made lunch then went back at 1:30 pm. Yesterday I found the missing airpods, found a tiny needle box to package them in so they could be safe sending them back to the owner.
Rachel at the post office taped that up good, had me buy a bubble wrap envelope for $1.99 and by the time we had it packaged it was secure.
It cost $4.85 to mail so took a picture of the receipt for the owner so she had the tracking number.
She wanted to pay by venmo but that is not something I have but Rhoda does so she sent the money to Rhoda. Amazing how that all works.
Mark was feeling better and getting hungry for supper. I made him a nice meal of chicken teriyaki, wild rice, salad with blue cheese crumbles, craisens, and sunflower seeds and a cutie. He ate it all.
We are expecting another snow storm to start tonight so got the wood burner going and the house is warm.
One can almost feel the heat coming out of it in the video below.
Mike moved both mares into the middle paddock, today they were happy in one of the shelters munching on hay.
Mike and Diane left for Middle Grove and will spend the night there. They checked on the horses and were also going to make sure the natural spring was still running.
He has a bubbler going to keep the smaller lake open for drinking but last year they were also drinking out of the spring. This next week the temps are going down below zero so he wants to make sure they have a water source. It looks like our mild winter will become a change for the worst. Some of the predicted actual temperatures will be BELOW zero and some of the days have a high predicted of -2. Sure hope they are wrong.
