Usual Repairs and Winterizing

I took a couple pictures of the snow this morning before the expected big meltdown. The sun was out and even though it was cold we had the promise of help.

Sarah and Nolan arrived to help fix fences and winterize the camper.  That meant Zion got to come help me do the feeding.
Below Daria and Lyra were waiting for their grain.
Karin, Magda, and Kayla arrived to ride but the outdoor arena and the round pen were not usable with the 2 inches of rain first then the 4 inches of snow on top. Karin started watering the indoor then I took over so the girls could start riding.

The weanling paddock needed another round bale. While I was waiting for the girls to finish riding a square bale was divided up and given to them. Those three below are all colts.
Below Nolan is putting up a new board while Isla keeps a close watch to make sure he is doing it correctly.
Mark and Sarah are getting another board cut and ready for Nolan.
Zion and I went inside to watch the girls riding the horses.
Zion was put right to work cleaning up and organizing some of the stuff taken out of the boxes that came out of the trailer.
The next job was to take the buckets to the shed.
Zion carried each one in one at a time. She is a good helper.
I took Eden and Zion inside the house to warm up. Mark, Nolan and Sarah finished the fence work and then started on the camping trailer and were able to get that winterized.
Aubry and Berlica came walking over for a visit followed by Tumnus the deer.
He came inside the house for some treats.
Even Eden was fascinated by Tumnus.  Zion was able to feed him a cracker.

After they left I ran up to the barn to watch Karin and Magda working with Evan. I didn't have the camera so just snapped the picture below with the phone.
As soon as they finished with Evan and bale was put in the weanling paddock. One of our guests kept the weanlings busy by feeding them grain while Nolan helped move the bale into their shelter.
Sarah and Nolan went to the Warehouse in Hanna City for lunch while Mark and I kept the girls.   That was such a busy and very productive morning. We didn't end up eating lunch until almost 2:00 pm. After everyone left for home both Mark and I decided it was time for a nap.
This afternoon was spent inside doing laundry and browning the hamburger for the meal tomorrow. Mark is now watching an informative video on dyslexia. I'm listening while typing and it is very interesting.
