The Flu Strikes

Yesterday was a pretty awful day for Mark, Rhoda, Sarah, and Stephanie. Thankfully none of the children caught the vomiting flu bug although Braelyn, after spending 5 hours IN the water didn't feel well.  Ben and Addyson, along with Phil and Anna and their 3 children drove to the beach at Table Rock Lake. Ben came back after a couple hours and we took the big van back with all those that felt well enough to swim. The beach is delightful, clean, sparkly clear water and a sandy beach. The beach is a little pebbly but that didn't seem to bother the kids. They spent hours diving for shells.

Ben took Jack and Jace all the way out to the swim barrier.
A rain storm moved in so we hiked up to the parking lot to play on the big playground. The rain made the climbing plastic log for climbing too slick. Below Phil is helping Kensley make it up to the tree house.
If you would like to see the rest of the beach pictures click HERE. We came back for a very late lunch, had crock pot lasagna for dinner then pretty much everyone crashed and went to bed early. This morning the only person vomiting is poor Lee. He started during the night and just does not feel well.  We went to Diamond resort after breakfast today for volleyball, games and swimming and are now back at the house for lunch. This afternoon we are going to the Sound and Sight theater for Samson.
