Winning Moment

We felt like the entire weekend was a winning moment. What an amazing experience for thousands of horse lovers from all over the tri-state area. We met people from Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin and even one from Texas. We were on such a high from Saturday's performances it was hard to get to sleep last night but when we finally did, morning came too quickly. Karin, Jesse and I arrived at the fair just before 8:00 am and went right to work feeding and watering. The Pirate show was the very first show of the day. The pirates almost didn't make it in time for the photo shoot before the show.
But when they finally got lined up they drew a crowd. Speaking of crowds, Sunday's are always a light day, if people come they usually come AFTER church and our play was performed DURING church so we were glad there wasn't a big crowd, maybe there IS hope for our country. We met a lot of Christians at the fair these last 3 days. The play went well, more will be posted tomorrow.
Next up was the vaulting demo.
The vaulting group did so well the Foxtrotter delegates from Ava, MO asked to be in the picture.
Once those 2 demos were finished the vaulters and pirates carried the tack, buckets, tubs, machines and extra hay to the trailers and then were released to head home. Only Karin, Amy, Emily, Mitchel, Rhoda and I stayed back. We still needed to get through the stallion parade and the liberty class. The stallion parade was next on the schedule.

Evan performed very well again. He was pretty tired by the time the Liberty class was held but still made a great impression. We found out a bit later he WON the class by a landslide! The pictures will be posted tomorrow, right now I'm heading to bed.

  1. The girls in the one picture are not the fair queens - they are the Foxtrotter delegates from Ava, Mo.
