Friday At Diamond Lake

We awoke to an East wind, that doesn't sound like much but because the wind was from the east the lake was choppy. No one wanted to head out wake boarding before breakfast. After breakfast mom, Karin and Emily packed up and left us for home while Sarah and David took out the jet ski. David wanted to wake board first so Sarah drove.
Most of the adults took the bikes around the lake or went running.  Anna and Phil stopped at a store with their girls and each got a sucker. Below Braelyn was sharing with Addyson.
David and Sarah came back with the wake board and exchanged it for the knee board then Sarah gave that a try but the lake was just too choppy.
Below Addyson is waiting her turn on the knee board.
Taegan's sucker cracked and fell in the dirt. Philip made one for her out broken fork and a piece of gum.
When David and Sarah were finished with the jet ski Rhoda and Lee took off to see if the lake was smoother on the other side of the island. It wasn't!
The day was sunny and hot, below they are loading up the pontoon to head out to the sand bar for swimming to cool off.

The afternoon was spent reading, or running, biking, swimming and playing games. We had an Italian meal for dinner. Taegan loved the meal and helped with the clean-up by licking off the spatula.
Needless to say she got a bath. Sarah and Addyson made brownies for desert. We spent a couple hours playing spoons and another game like spoons all of which I failed miserably at.
Our very nice neighbor Patty was out feeding the ducks when the sea gulls came in a flock and started stealing the crackers. The ducks got mad and actually grabbed a gull pulling it into the water until it got loose.
David brought the guitar out for the evening singing.
Below Ben and Taunya are enjoying the evening before putting the kids to bed.
Jack was having fun playing in his turtle pajamas.
Tonight was the last night for our neighbors, they leave in the morning. They had a nice fire going by the lake, we went over to say good-by and stayed to visit a bit.
