So the calls started coming around 8:00am, "are you ok?" "Judy, are you sick?" "something must be wrong?" "you did not update."
The answer given was yes, I'm fine, except the true answer was... last night my body ached, and I had the chills so went to bed early. The people that wanted to buy Jane the puppy, were suppose to show up around 4:00pm and didn't call until after 5:30pm that they wouldn't make it until next Friday. There is no deposit on her and if they don't show up next Friday she will still be for sale. Then the man wanting James, the last available male, was suppose to be here around 9:00am today and he has not arrived, meaning James is still for sale, if someone wants the last male pup speak quickly. James is just plain adorable, he is a bit darker colored than the other males but his tail wags faster than any of them when he sees kids coming to play. He runs as fast as he can to be first to be played with. James also enjoys snuggling up under a chin. He wants to be a lap dog which is great right now but won't be so good when he is 185 pounds.
Karin and Rhoda left yesterday afternoon for a camp out at Jubilee State park, taking Dalia and Mika. Dalia came back from Middle Grove taller, more filled out and very fit. Karin rode her yesterday for a trail ride with our Canada company and Dalia definitely needs work. She did not want to listen and did not like Rachel's horses following her. There is a lady flying in from Alaska to try her on the 20th, she doesn't care that she is green but still we expect our horses to behave even if they are green hence Karin's decision to take her camping.
Already this morning SO much has been done. The arena mess cleaned up, the stall barn cleaned and all the meds given to Jenis' colt. Yesterday trying to put the sulpha and banamine into his mouth, he reared over backward and took me down with him. Both of us ended up on the floor breathing hard but the job did get done. That is probably why the body ached last night, it is not a good thing for a 56 year old to be wrestling around on the floor with a 250 pound foal. At least he is feeling better. No fever last night or this morning and he is not at all lethargic. He is now tied each time meds are given.
Yesterday a camera exactly like the one I ran over and ruined was purchased on ebay. Hope it arrives soon.
