Super Saturday

It was so foggy this morning when I left at 7:30 with the 4 horse trailer to head to Middle Grove that the water tower could not be seen until I was right up on it. Karin was picked up at 8:00 in Farmington and when we got to Middle Grove we had to start hiking to find the horses. They are now in the summer pasture.  We haltered and took with us Bunni, Missy, Cookie, Soul and Rosaleigh. Bunni, Missy and Cookie were taken right to the round pen. Karin wanted to evaulate them before taking them on the first trail ride. All of them needed their hooves trimmed which Karin did.  She is a handy sister to have around. She and her farrier tools save us thousands each year.
they were taken into the indoor for the tack up and joined by Oksana, Indy and the Gypsy mare Irish.
Karin and Rebekah took them out on the trails while Rosaleigh and Soul were taken right into the stalls so I could get any burrs and tangles out of their manes and tails. Rosaleigh's hair is unreal. It is so thick and long brushing her mane was like another horse's tail.  Once done I took her out to the round pen to get a couple pictures of my job.

 Soul was next.
I didn't take her out to the round pen as by this time the riders were back.
Karin and Rebekah helped get Galena covered by Valiant first then Oksana covered by Evan. Finally Indy AND Oksana are showing. Indy will be covered tomorrow afternoon. Mark was out working with the skid steer clearing brush and brought it back to clean off the blade in the picture below.
After the horses were done we headed over to mom's where a group had gathered to enjoy the sunshine. The dogs were already swimming. The weather was finally WARM.
Sarah and Rhoda arrived with Eden and Iris. Below mom is holding Eden.
Iris was playing peekaboo with grandma and happy as long as she was sitting on her mom's lap.

Karin, Sarah, Rhoda, mom and I were joined by Emily, Hannah, Sarah, Spark, Rhonda and Mark. Below Sarah is helping mom with an itch, but we were teasing her about removing her shirt in mixed company.
Sarah and Emily had to canoe over to Sarah's house to get supplies for Anni's decorating party happening in mom's basement.
I headed back to the barn where Mike and Diane had company. Below Ella is doing some vaulting moves on Oksana at the canter and stand.

Irelyn got a turn on Oksana and had fun trotting her.

Crew also got to ride Oksana.

When they finished riding they needed to enjoy the trampoline.
Mom, Diane and I were going to the Tremont Benefit dinner tonight and needed to leave here around 4:55 pm. At 4:15 pm an inquiry came for the barn apartment wanting to stay tonight. The floor still needed to be scrubbed but I got it done in time. They came while we were at the dinner and sent the picture below of her son enjoying one of the weanling.
The benefit dinner was very good. Beth and Greg came along with Nate, Noah and Drake. We did not know they were coming and ended up sitting at their table.  Sarah also was there and she didn't know we were coming. The choir was beautiful. Below is the last song they sang.

A beautiful picture of an Evan son was posted today. This is Leonardo out of Jenni and Will Moser's mare. He was sold and his new owner is thrilled.
As soon as I got home the horses were fed, stalls cleaned and now I MUST go to bed. That bed is calling loudly.
