Moving Day

As this is still the Easter Holiday Karin scheduled another trail ride this time taking 5 horses. She was able to get them all in the Exiss 4 horse trailer. We sure do like these big trailers.  Karin rode Ripper, Ariya rode Sally, Kali rode Bunni, Noah rode Missy and Tess rode Cookie. Below they are riding them from the cabin field over to the horse trailer for loading.

These horses are so well trained and so much fun. Even Ripper who we consider green was perfect. Karin said he is her new favorite. He is half Andalusian and has such a wonderfully smooth trot. (he wings) Ripper is the colt that Soul had by her side when we bought Soul. He is HUGE at almost 16.2 hands. He turns 5 years old May 7th.
Karin sent back some pictures from the trip. If you would like to see them click HERE. After she left Rosaleigh was turned out into the field. She is the only mare we have that loses weight when nursing so we try to get her really fat before she delivers.

Gideon was staring at her just longing to join her in the field.
He really is a beautiful colt.
Mark came home a little early from work today as today was moving day for the old school house.
This was the house built from left over logs from Spark and Rhonda's house from when they built their house a LONG time ago. Originally it was up on stilts in their backyard. The kids had to climb the sliding board ladder to get up and to get down slide down the slide. When their children grew up and started school it was put at the end of the lane to help keep the kids warm as they waited for the school bus. Faith and Berlica needed a play house so it was moved to Joan's.  Joan had the kids get the left over bricks from Spark's with mom's Kubota while she flattened a good spot and laid the base.
Faith and Joan had those bricks laid quickly.
Below Tim is helping direct Mark as he brings it down the hill.
Berlica was busy making flower jewelry with beautiful dandelions.

As I was coming home I noticed the Redbud tree is starting to bloom. This is such a beautiful tree and was planted by Marilyn Hoerr.
The other news today is Jessica's Pug, Princess Leia had SIX pug puppies. SIX of them!  We can hardly believe she had room for that many puppies. Jessica will be posting them for sale so stayed tuned.
