Gray Cold Rainy Day

It was spitting on our walk today, not really raining but we could still walk and talk. It rained like that all day a nice gentle rain soaking into the earth. After the walk the barn was swept, the stalls cleaned, the indoor arena cleaned up and all done before 9:30 am. Marie, the owner of Lola's filly came this morning with Amy, the lady that bought Ella's colt by Evan a few years ago,  to visit her filly and pick out a name for her. The name she chose is Daria Morchella Elata. Quite a long name for her but beautiful. Marie brought a gift with her, two dozen fresh eggs from her chickens. I had two for breakfast and they are delicious.
Diane sent a text that the horsemeister bank statement came in and I would also need to come in with the check book for that dreaded job of reconciling. Mom told me on the walk that for sure have Diane do the reconciling as she just did hers and found lots of extra money in her checkbook yesterday. For some reason that didn't work on ours today.  Although she did find a $50.00 mistake.
Each time I talk about babies everyone thinks I'm talking about the 4 legged babies. But we DO have human babies to play with too. Although Ben and Taunya's baby is a baby no longer. He is out of diapers and into big boy pants all the time and he turns 2 years old tomorrow. My how the time flies.
Nolan and Sarah's daughter Zion is also growing up quickly now that she is a big sister
to little Eden.
Lee and Rhoda's daughter Iris is still too shy to play with grandma without her mom holding her
but get a few more months on her and she WILL like coming to visit grandma and grandpa. I'm sure of it.
Mark needed to borrow the truck after work today to pick up 40 more feet of pipe. That meant the horses trailer had to be unhooked and the flatbed trailer hooked up. He got back and found Kabur, Sarah's dog sitting on the golf cart in the garage waiting for a ride home. Well he had to wait for Sarah to come pick him up as the golf cart needs new batteries.
The feedings and stalls are now all done for the night. Galena is going through 6 five gallon buckets of water each day. These nursing mom's need SO much water and her filly is a big one.
I had to get in ONE horse picture today even if it is from yesterdays pictures. I spent some time today placing her on a Friesian sale page on Facebook and had to answer lots of questions. It seems 50 people think she is just beautiful and want her but... they don't have the money we are asking would we sell her for $2000.00, their husband won't let them would we hold her while they work on him, would we trade for a quarter horse,  they don't have a place to keep her, would we take payments and board her until she is ready to be trained? Nope nope nope. We are not interested in any of those but I understand dreams so took the time to answer each and every person.
