Another Drop Off and Pick UP at Middle Grove

Today Serenity got visitors, her owners arrived shortly after 9:00 am. We were already up with the horses and I did not have my camera. Too bad, Mark was in the woods checking out the trails, spooked two big does who came running at the arena spooking the horses. Not only did I not have the camera we had no guns either and to think it is shotgun season right now. All that good meat went bounding through the fields. Karin had Valiant in the round pen while Sangria and Serenity were in the arena. As soon as the visitors left, I ran down to the house to grab the camera. Karin and Kayla had Rosalie and Zalena out. Below are a few pictures of their training session.

If you would like to see the rest of these pictures click HERE. We started out with coats, soon shed those and was just wearing sweatshirts and by noon we were down to a t-shirt. Who would have thought on the 2nd of December we would be riding in t-shirts? As soon as they were put away we loaded up Sally and Roxanne. Today was weaning day for their two colts as both of them are to leave within 2 weeks for their new homes. The next horses loaded were Sangria and Serenity. These 4 horses were taken out to Middle Grove. Mike met us out there to help load Sheena and her filly Ella Sky in the front of the stock trailer and Ripper and Easter Bonnet in the back of the stock. We will be weaning Ella Skye this week with the colts and Mike wants Sheena at the cabin so he can grain her and Ripper here for Rhoda to train.  Easter Bonnet needed to come home because she is climbing through the fence between the summer and winter pasture then can't figure out how to get back in with the herd. Below are a few pictures of the horses at Middle Grove.
Darla and Serenity were thrilled to see each other. These two were best friends until we took Oksana and Darla out to Middle Grove.

I didn't take a ton of pictures we were pretty busy loading horses but if you would like to see what pictures there are click HERE. As soon as we got back Karin pulled Jenis out to work on her walk canter departs.

Mark went over to Sparks to borrow a trailer, got out the chain saw and was cutting up the pallet wood Philip dropped off. We love this wood for the wood burners, it is a solid oak, kiln dried and burns hot making it great for starting fires. Mark got the trailer loaded to take over to Joan's for her 2 wood burners so she won't have to use as much propane to heat her house.
Mark, Karin and I went to Good Tequilas for a late lunch and after lunch drove to Eureka for Rebekah and Brian's puppy party. We car pooled with Ruth, mom and Jessica.
Brian and Rebekah were installing a new hardwood floor in their living room when we arrived. Anni was helping and just happened to be advertising for her dad.
She was laying the wood in the doorway when the puppies came in and tried to help.
Jordan was put to work holding the puppy so Anni could finish the floor.
Sarah and Nolan arrived with all dressed up fancy like. Check out that sweater.
We all had our hands full of puppies or babies. Below mom is holding baby Zion while Ruth holds a puppy and Riley Jane while Brian has his lap full of puppies.

Below are 7 of the 10 puppies Rebekah's dog had. These are Golden Doodles and ALL ten are sold.
Mark didn't come to the puppy party and it was a good thing he didn't. We brought Anni and her dog Chewy home with us. We had Karin and I in the front seats, mom, Jessica and Ruth in the back seat and Anni and Chewy in the back of the station wagon. Mark was needed to help Joan move this evening. He and Philip along with Ruth's 2 boys Ryan and Steven joined Joan, Rodney, Sarah, Hannah, Faith, Mackenson and Berlica moving Joan's entire household in about 2 and a half hours.
