Olivia Out

Olivia is now out of season, we will try to schedule an ultrasound in 16 days. Dr. Hoerr is on the schedule to come on Monday the 13th to sonagram Whitney and Serenity.
We had a good day at Berean, finishing everything before 3:00 pm even the letters but...it wasn't a typical Tuesday because of the holiday yesterday we didn't have as much mail. Even so there was plenty to do. The best part of the day was when I walked into the office first thing this morning. It was obvious we had been visited by the shoemaker's fairies or maybe angels in disguise. The study racks were full, the office cleaned and boxes stuffed. I was going to give Marie all the credit and turned out that was kind of right, it wasn't Marie but 3 of her children. Mathew, Megan and Justin came in on Saturday and must have worked for hours. Have I ever mentioned how thrilled we are to have that family in Peoria?
We had one full mailbox of mail and a brand new volunteer. Actually this volunteer has been volunteering for Berean for years, just not at this part of the job, usually he is at the jail. We had rain today which shut down the pouring of the concrete at Skylines so Marvin gave us the morning. He was put to work reading letters with mom, Kathy and David. Marie was put on the computer and that was a great fit. She easily picked up the job and kept up. Eva Jean, Chuck, Shirley, Vonnie and Joyce were put on opening the studies.
Jeanette was busy in the other room applying labels while Faith, Justin, Timothy, Mackenson and Berlica stamped envelopes. We are almost out of envelopes and another 20,000 were ordered. Skip showed up to check out the office and observe what was happening with this program.
We were able to finish the studies by noon and all sat down to break bread together..well more than bread, Eva Jean provided an amazing meal for our lunch which included her special meat balls, pasta salad, fresh veggies, rolls and for dessert home baked apple pie made with Jonathan apples topped with vanilla bean ice cream. We enjoyed the meal almost as much as the visiting around the table.  Everyone was free to go after lunch except Marie and I, we stayed and finished processing the letters. By the time we finished we had almost 300 Bible labels printed out for Thursday's work.
Our rain gauge showed we got a half inch of rain this morning so Mark wanted to grade the drive ways after supper but when he started it was just a bit too muddy. He will wait to see what the next few days bring. At least the grader is back on the tractor.
