Indy Prissy Pregnant

Emily and I moved in 3 bales this morning, 2 in the middle paddock and one in Ribbon's paddock. We didn't tease mares this morning, Dr. Hoerr was due to arrive for ultrasounds. We were wondering about Indy, 4 weeks ago she was sonagrammed and Dr. Hoerr did not see a baby and also felt she may have ovulated 3to5 days before that. We were given a shot to short cycle but because she was living with Killian at the time I decided not to give her the shot. Well thank goodness we didn't, she was the first one sonagrammed today and showed a 51 day embryo. That means she WAS pregnant last time and if I would have given her a shot to short cycle her she would have aborted. Indy is due March 11th, 2015 and the sire of this foal is Evan.
Prissy was next and she also is pregnant. Prissy is due April 7th, 2015 and the sire of that foal is Killian.
Last up was Holly, she was not showing but definitely in season with a 52 cm follicle ready to pop.
We got her covered by Valiant. Hope her next foal is as cute as this one also by Valiant. The next job for Dr. Hoerr was to draw blood on Promise and Raven's Heart for their coggins test. Both fillies were excellent standing still for the needle prick.
After Dr. Hoerr left Emily mowed then she and Hannah decided to take the ponies out on the trails. Emily rode Bonnie while Hannah rode Misty. Both mares plowed right through the creeks. Below are a few pictures of their ride.
They stopped at the arena so I could get a few shots of them cantering.

Tonight we Aunts were hosting a shower for Bethany and Bill at the Fellowship Hall. Rhoda, Anna, Sarah and Stephanie came early to help prepare the sandwiches. The shower was very well attended, we fed around 100 people and they were all so generous with beautiful gifts for the young couple. Can you tell by the picture below Bill is in love!

Below my 2 beautiful daughters took a break from helping to pose for a picture. Now I'm not at all prejudiced but those girls are as beautiful inside as they are on the outside and that's saying something!

We were pretty tired by the time the shower was over and the fellowship hall cleaned up then wouldn't you know on the way home we got stuck behind a l-o-n-g train so long I almost fell asleep waiting. I didn't worry too much as the van behind me was all family. I figured if I didn't wake up in time they would honk or something. Nope Beth gets out of the van, sneaks up to the window and slams into it. Yep that did the trick, that woke me up long enough to finish the drive home.
