Another Cold Day

AT 36 degrees outside this morning, it was just down right cold for May 17th. Tim Reinhard is still in the hospital and won't be released until Monday. The infection went to the bone and he needs to be on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks. Joan went shopping for a mother of the bride dress. She is just like me, doesn't enjoy shopping and really doesn't enjoy trying to find a fancy dress. Bethany and Sarah went with her to help find something suitable.
Dan spent the night in Hanna City again, then left this morning to try to start pumping water out of the burned out building. It is so hard to know how or what to do, the cleanup is going to be massive. That building was around 75,000 square feet. We still don't know what is going to happen with the camps.
Diane called from Middle Grove wondering if Bunni is pregnant. She was riding her and Bunni just didn't want to run. Yes Bunni is pregnant but is not due until Sept 20th, she can still be ridden.
Mark worked on the pastures and mowing with the Kubota while I used the small mower on the yard. Karin arrived early for the vaulting clinic and worked with Sunny first, then got Ribbon cleaned up. Karin helped tease Zalena who is now out and Eliza who is still in and covered by Evan. Ribbon and Eliza were turned out into the field to eat for an hour before the vaulters arrived. Eliza's filly was having fun jumping through the long grass.
Today's clinic was for 4 H and they had 9 girls come. Karin does such a good job with teaching vaulting. We had one freak accident today. One of the students was on the barrel, dismounted but lost her balance and when she fell on the arena floor a piece of the rubber from the floor ended up underneath her fingernail tearing it out from the base.
Her mom was called but once it was bandaged up she went right back out to take her turn on Ribbon. When her mother arrived she decided there was no way she was leaving until the clinic was over. Each one had a great time cantering on Ribbon.

All the rest of the pictures of this clinic were posted on the Horsemeister Inc Facebook page.
Emily's goat was one of the main attractions today.
She made herself at home during the practice laying at the front of the barn watching, then when the girls were finished came over for some attention.
