Polo Match
Karin showed up early Saturday so early she had time to work a couple of horses before it was time to bathe the mares and foals.
Below she is usuing round pen reasoning on Valiant.
We were pleased with his submission but even more impressive was Evan when it was his turn. Literally within 2 minutes Evan was ready to work and wanting to please.
Once the mares and foals were clean and stalled to dry we broke for a lunch of BLTs. The tomatoes are red ripe juicy and just bursting with flavor right now. It must be all that good rich dark horse manure we are growing them in. Steven Marchal offered to come help at the polo match and we were glad to have him.
Mom also decided to come with us, the weather was just too nice to stay home and inside. We arrived just before 3:00pm and had plenty of time to brush them off and put on their sparkly leg wraps.
The fillies were so funny together exploring the new place and even watching the polo match intently.
Below Olympia gets tired and leans on Olivia.
Mom was able to catch a ride with a golf cart heading to the stands.
Her knee is really bothering her and will probably have to be replaced.
The horses performed well in front of the crowd, not that we had to do more than lead them in front of the stands, let them trot and lead them back out.
Next up was the polo. We enjoyed watching the match, the horses galloping up and down the field the missed and made shots.
Gitza, Lynn and one of Gitza's students were the half time entertainment.
Once the polo match resumed Karin and I headed back to the trailers to get the horses ready for their second parade of breeds. That went well also, the babies are always such a hit. We were heading home before 7:00pm called and ordered a couple of chicken dinners from Gils, picked them up as we swung through Hanna City, dropped of the horses, picked up Mark, took the golf cart over to mom's where we finally sat down to relax and enjoy the hot perfectly fried chicken and all the fixins. It was a long but beautiful fun day! Thanks Karin and Steven, couldn't have done this without you.

I enjoyed the photos of the horses watching the polo match. My local polo club doesn't have any halftime entertainment, this looks like it is a great idea to entertain the crowd and get the next generation interested in riding horses!
