Moving Cars for Bales
Tonight after dinner it was time to move 4 round bales. Even before the skid steer would be fired up cars needed to be moved out of the way. Karin's car, my car, Rhoda's impala, mom's car and Mark's were all parked near the apartment and right in the way. Mark put the spear bucket on and cleaned out the shelters first, then the middle paddock got 2 bales, the 4th paddock a bale and the boy's paddock the last. While working on the first shelter in the middle paddock a wasp nest was disturbed and they came flying at us with a vengeance. After 2 stings the wasp and hornet spray was brought into that shelter and sprayed down. We must have killed most of them as we were then left in peace. We discovered a board down in the boy's paddock which Mark fixed before heading down to the tree line with his trusty chain saw. The evening is nice, cool and breezy with a smell of rain in the air. Hopefully we will get some of that precious wet stuff.
Mike came over to help get Ylse covered by Raven but he had to be sent back, he was bringing Eliza and her filly over from the cabin as he was driving his 4 wheeler. When asked why he was bringing Eliza over he replied, "I thought she was Ylse."
