Raven

After our walk Samantha was taken over to Raven's paddock, Raven refused to step out of his shelter into the mud. Does that inform as to how much rain we got this morning, if not, the rain gauge was showing over 2 inches and that was in a short period of time. Through the mud I had to tromp to halter him and lead him out. Once out of the mud he could hardly wait to get to Samantha and she showed well and stood well so no trip to Hoerr Vet clinic today. Here I thought she was reluctant yesterday, must have read the signs wrong. Her filly is doing great, running and bucking around so thrilled to get out of the stall. She looks so good it would be great if we could get her off stall rest and into the cabin field but she won't be cleared for that until she is off the meds. As long as Raven was out of the paddock he was taken into the barn, fly sprayed and then sticked. He was looking so tall, I thought perhaps he had grown but he sticks the same as the last time, 16.2 and a quarter hands.
On the walk this morning the sound of water rushing into lakes and through the creeks was so noisy it was hard to visit!
Jenis and Ylse were checked today and both are progressing well in their pregnancies. Basically one month to go for both mares.
We have until Wednesday afternoon to get Ribbon back for vaulting. A trip to Middle Grove will need to be planned soon.
