Breakfast

Kind of hard to wake up this morning but finally dragged myself out of bed at 5:30 and headed down the stairs. Sarah was up and had already made coffee, nice surprise. Pulled out of the driveway with both dogs loaded into the car right at 6:40 and made it to the farm before 7:00am. Raven is always thrilled to see my car pulling in, he runs to his feeder and starts dancing around it until he is fed. The 3 boys were over in the field behind the pond. They were called and they answered and came running but ran into the wrong paddock and couldn't figure out how to get over. Their grain was just left, there is now 3 feeders in the far paddock all with one scoop of grain in it. They always stay together so hopefully Valiant will figure it out soon. Valiant is the leader. Rhoda came with me to the farm last night and the boys were taken into the barn on cement and sticked. Valiant sticks at 14.1 and Evan at 14. and a half inch. They are not yet a year old so we are very pleased with their growth.
Once the work was done at the farm it was over to our meeting place for the walk.
We had such a good time this morning, even Rebekah joined us for the walk but had to leave for school before breakfast. Here we are just getting ready to walk down to Diane's with some of the food.
Some of the cooks preparing for our breakfast feast.
What a feast it was. Diane supplied the bacon from Rabers, Joan supplied the toast and juice, Rachel supplied the fresh fruit and home made raspberry jam. Ruth supplied the warm iced cinnamon rolls and I supplied the eggs. Of course our conversation was even better than the food. How good it is to be together. We are missing Karin and mom but they will be home from Africa tomorrow. Karin emailed they are ON THEIR WAY!
Beth, Joan, Tim, Diane and the Reinhard kids are all heading to the midwest food bank to help with load out. I'm heading down to work with Sam to Meister's for Bible distribution.
