Today was a day off school, they call it Easter Monday. I think that is a good name for this Monday as we celebrated the resurrection with church, family and feasting and no one wanted to get up early. Diane couldn't walk today, she had an early morning dentist appointment. After breakfast Mark and I went over to clean up after the party last night. Mark worked on the upstairs while I worked on the downstairs. Once that was done the indoor arena was cleaned up and I almost finished stripping Blueberry's stall. I have maybe just one more wheelbarrow left to scoop out. We decided they needed to stay inside one more day so tomorrow will try them in the cabin field. David and Stephanie's family came out and went fishing. Anna brought the girls out and joined them. Braelyn caught a big striper and had quite a fight getting it pulled in. Those are so much fun to catch.

Easter Monday
Israel caught a crappie, another good strong fighting fish.
He also caught a big bass.
When the sun came out it was warm but when the clouds covered the sun it became chilly very fast. Israel found out very fast it was too cold to get wet when he tried to take the kayak out.
Rhoda took her 2 and Sarah's girls bike riding.
Then in to warm up.
The softball pitching machine stopped working last night. I called the company as it is under warranty and they called back and had us take it apart to find out what was wrong with it.
It turned out to be the circuit board and they shipped a new one out today. Cole, the man that was talking to us on the phone gave me his number and said he will walk us through putting the new circuit board in when it comes. After supper I started making a pecan caramel cinnamon cake for the Berean office tomorrow and was getting the ingredients together. Everything needed was here except the pecans. Mark told me he ate them a while ago, I just didn't notice they were gone. I drove in to Bartonville to Aldi to pick up some more then just as the cake was going into the oven Berlica came over for some computer help on one of her school projects. The cake was ready to come out just as we finished.
I think the caramel sauce wasn't cooked as long as it should have been. It is a little runny but we tasted a bit out of the corner and it tastes delicious. Mark is watching a movie called The Young Messiah so I'm going to quit working and watch it with him.
