Something strange happened today with my phone. I'm wondering if it had something to do with the storm and losing electricity. OR it could be that I left the phone with Mark. More on that later. This morning the time was spent making sure the foaling apartment and the barn were ready for the guests and that meant taking the vacuum over to use for searching for Asian beetles. I am so ready for them to disappear. We had a warm morning with sunshine and every time I opened our patio door more flew in. Stephanie dropped off Rizzy around 8:15 am. There was no walk as Joan took her kids to Springfield to protest the home schooling bill HB2827. There was a huge turnout for that. Not that it did much good. They had 4 speakers go first that were pro then 4 against. If you would like to watch this, Monica posted the video. This really IS a threat. You won't understand unless you listen to the people that are against the bill. So if you listen to the first 4 PRO HB2827 speakers you will really need to listen to the AGAINS HB2827 to hear the truth.

Tornado Warnings
I wasted hours on the phone this morning trying to talk to someone in the social security office. A lady finally did answer but couldn't answer my question so transferred me to a Mrs. Klaus who never answered her phone. This was after spending at least an hour on line trying to get my question answered. At least I got the laundry done while on hold. This afternoon Rizzy started barking and wanted outside. When I opened the door she went running to the drive where David was walking very fast back to his house. I realized right then a storm was coming and it must be bad as he had parked his truck in the barn. I took the golf cart up and parked my truck inside and by the time that was done huge COLD rain drops started slamming down and the wind picked up. The dark clouds descended and it became so dark that the outdoor light that only shines in the dark came on. Soon the tornado sirens were blasting. Mark and I stepped outside to see if we could see any tornados but the temperature had fallen drastically and the rain was still slamming down. I took a few pictures and some video with the phone. Mark turned on the television and we saw that there was a tornado touch down 4 miles from us in the Glasford area. We saw then that it was heading toward Kingston Mines and then Pekin. We just got lots of heavy rain. Lee and Rhoda in Deer Creek got a lot of hail. Lee sent the picture below:
That is all ice balls. It was stacking up on their deck.
We left for church at 6:00 pm. Tim Roecker had the message tonight. It isn't up yet but a link will be posted when it is. He spoke on Exodus 30 and then 1st Thessalonians 1. After church we went with the group to Culvers for a late supper. I had left my phone at home so no pictures. When we got home the phone was hooked up to the computer to download the pictures and videos taken of the storm today and the pictures have vanished. There were some pictures on the phone but those were taken a long time ago. I think somehow some way the phone had been reset and I lost all of the pictures taken today and some of the apps I use to turn the lights on and off at the barn. Mark is SURE he didn't do it when he had the phone today so it must be when we lost electricity or some strange phenomena from the storm that reached into the phone. Maybe it is just magic.
