No walk this morning, instead I made breakfast early then took off for Middle Grove to pick up Rosalie and Blueberry. Diane and Mike spent the night there and opened the gate then Diane and I drove to the back field while Mike took the 4 wheeler. The herd was spread out grazing but when they saw the truck and trailer they came running. I jumped out of the truck to get some video but didn't take it slow enough and the video is jerky so I tried slowing it down before posting. I think it is an impressive herd.

Preparing.
I only took a couple pictures before haltering Rosalie.
Mike haltered Blueberry, both loaded quietly and soon I was driving home. Mike and Diane stayed to work on the new dock they are building for the solarcoaster boat. The two I brought home were put in the paddock next to Valiant's.
Above is Rosalie and below is Blueberry. They are both huge. Rosalie stands a solid 17 hands but weighs a LOT more. Blueberry is 16.3 plus a bit but is a Thoroughbred mare. They are usually much thinner than Friesian mares but Blueberry is heavy in foal, due April 16th.
Mark needed my help on a couple boards for one of the shelters.
Each day he sees where something could use reinforcement or repair. I'm thankful for his help. He wanted to keep working on the bunk beds.
They were measured and then we checked to see if the mattresses we were going to buy would fit. They will be close so we ordered one and when that comes in we will see. This afternoon and evening was spent doing WAR on Asian beetles. The vacuum was used and every crack and corner was checked for those beetles. They were finding ways to break into the house and then since the weather was so nice flying to the windows and climbing up and down them until they were sucked into the vacuum. These 160 year old houses have lots of cracks and have lots of places for those tiny beetles to hide. Marilyn the lady that sold us the house told me it was 140 years old in 2002 making it 163 years old now. The house didn't get on the tax rolls until 1920 and by them the original builder had added indoor plumbing by putting a leanto on the house and pumping the well water to a flush toilet. Today was also laundry and dishes day. I was able to listen on AC Central to Fred Witzig. He visited West Bend and spoke at a topical then both morning and afternoon. We are expecting storms this evening with very strong winds. The motorhome was put in the big barn, Rachel and Dave brought their vehicles over and put them in the hay barn, we added Mark's car and my truck behind them. Right now all is calm so it is hard to believe those storms are really coming but we shall see. At least we have prepared and moved the important stuff indoors.
