We left for the bloomington airport just before 10:00am and were there in plenty of time for our 12:30 flight. Mom, Diane and Mike made it within 20 minutes so we had some time to visit before checking in. The plane was over booked and they were offering a $400.00 voucher along with a later flight for 3 people but we could not afford the time, we had only 40 minutes for our connecting flight. By the time we flew into the Alanta airport we had only 30 minutes as our flight came in a little late. Just as we got to the gate they were calling the final boarding for our flight, there was no waiting at all. Both flights were without incident although it sounded like we had a blowout on a tire when we landed in Atlanta, we heard a bang then the sound of a flat tire flub flub flub...
Diane was so organized that we were on the shuttle for the hotel within a few minutes. We ordered chinese for dinner, 3 meals and shared with the 6 of us but there was still too much and ended up throwing some away.
After the big dinner Mike wanted to go buy some soda so off we all hiked to the nearest gas station. On the way we saw a mall that looked interesting and made a quick (although walking is pretty slow) detour. The entrance was through the Double Tree Hotel. The mall was closed and as we were exiting the hotel entrance some girls came in the door with VERY skimpy dresses, in fact I don't think one could call them dresses, perhaps just a small slice of material. Mom said she thought they were probably hookers. Could be that is just the style here in Miami.
Beth is down in the lobby watching the Illinois game, Mike and Diane just went down to play rook so I guess I'll head down for a game.
