Karin came early yesterday so she could get some training of the mares in before the vaulting team showed up. She happened to have some pork chops from the Farmington meat locker we cooked up for dinner. Steven arrived in time to go over everything that happened while we were gone before he went out to ride. Amy came bearing gifts, a 2012 Mastiff calendar and a very comfortable pair of new shoes for Sunday for me. Rhoda pulled up shortly after Amy and both stayed to catch up on news. Once everyone left Rhoda borrowed Karin's coveralls and faced the snow and cold to get Ella out. Ella was very nervous and threw out some pretty good bucks along with scooting and shying at just about everything. Rhoda had to go back to the basics of trick training before she settled down.
We think it was the whisper of snow hitting the barn roof in waves when the wind would blow.
Today is work day at Meisters, Eva Jean and I will have 2 weeks of studies to get processed. Right after lunch I need to go to Sams to order the pizza for the Wednesday night dinner at church. It is our turn to provide the meal for Team Kids.
Rhoda needs a few things dropped off at her office and Walmart is right across the street making it handy to pick up food items for the special valentines dinner planned for tonight. Today is also Stephanie's birthday.
